The York University Collegium for Practical Ethics is thrilled to offer six year-long fellowship positions for graduate students with a serious interest in the study of applied ethics. Each fellow will be expected to participate in the activities and intellectual life of the Collegium. Fellows will have use of the Collegium's office and extensive library on practical ethics and be provided with an opportunity to present their research as part of the Collegium's seminar series.
Graduate students who are eager to engage with people and ideas that connect University life to wider society are invited to apply directly to the Collegium for the fellowship. Fellows will be selected on the basis of academic background, record of excellence, and promise of future achievement. In order to be eligible, students must be enrolled in a graduate program at York University.
A completed application will contain the following:
- A one-page document describing your intellectual interests in the field of ethics;
- A copy of a paper you have written related to applied ethics;
- Optionally, a C.V. outlining you academic and work experience; and,
- The name and email address of an instructor at York University who is willing to act as a reference for you.
